Reading Books
STOP PRESS 29/09/08
These photos have just arrived from Zambia showing the handing over of the books to one of the orphanages.

During the Summer Holidays a case of our old reading books was given to a friend of St Hilda's who was on his way to take part in a V.S.O. mission in Zambia. He has recently been in touch and told us that the books have been distributed to 2 orphanages in Zambia and will help over 300 children learn to read!

Our gift will help children like these.

Our Harvest Festival this year took place on Thursday 25 September and once again we collected items for the homeless.
Thank you for your generous support.

Lepra

Following our fund raising events of last term in support of Lepra we received a letter of thanks from their Community Fundraiser Ms E Beazley saying...
"Thank you on behalf of LEPRA for the money raised by your pupils. I would be very grateful if you could reiterate my thanks to everyone. £1172.15 is the splendid amount that was raised and 56 more people will be helped with a cure following the effort made by your pupils.

I have ordered a plaque for the school to remember the occasion, this should arrive at the school within the next 2 weeks."

Well done to all our pupils, parents and staff.
