"Champions keep playing until they get it right." Billie Jean-King
St. Hilda’s has excellent sporting facilities set in beautiful grounds. There is a covered heated swimming pool, tennis courts and a multi purpose sports hall.
Pupils are taught by a specialist PE teacher from Reception to Form 6, giving the children a challenging and imaginative range of activities and sports which they experience in weekly PE and games lessons. Interhouse and interschool matches in netball and rounders are enthusiastically played and supported.
"Everyone has been very kind to me during my first week and I have settled in very well. I enjoy the netball club on Mondays and the swimming lessons on Wednesdays. I think any girl would enjoy being at St Hilda's because it is an excellent school." By Amy aged 10 Form 6. Started at St Hilda's in November 2010
The weekly swimming lessons are an important part of our curriculum and qualified swimming instructors will teach your child from the age of three. The inter-house galas are the highlight of the summer and an opportunity for all Form 3 - 6 pupils to participate and celebrate their expertise in the water. Our most talented swimmers take part in local and county galas.
We have an excellent tennis court and your child, from the age of four will be given the opportunity to be taught tennis every week by a specialist tennis coach.
