The Early Years

At St. Hilda's the Foundation Stage unit, comprised of Kindergarten and the Reception Class, offers a unique individual learning experience, providing your child with the very best education and skills for life.

Our unit provides a spacious, purpose built area complete with a secure outdoor environment, kitchen and toilet facilities.

Our highly qualified team of Early Years practitioners and our high adult-child ratios combine to ensure that your child reaches their full potential.

Specialists  teach French, Music, P.E. and Swimming. We also offer extra-curricular activities throughout the school which include instrumental tuition, short tennis, ballet and tap.

St. Hilda's provides a friendly, happy, stimulating learning environment where your child will be given the opportunity to explore and build on their personal experiences. This helps them develop the confidence to move forward at their own pace. Your child is carefully tracked using the early learning goals.This provides a solid foundation on which to build for their next stage of development.

Your  child will be encouraged to develop their speaking  and listening skills to a high level through their learning experiences and by taking an active part in assemblies and various school productions.
