Leavers Reunion
St. Hilda’s School has a tradition of
having a Reunion for the ‘old’ Year 6’s every year. This lovely evening is
an excellent opportunity for the present Year 6 to chat to the ‘old’ girls about
the schools they will be going to in the autumn. This is also a time for the
‘old’ parents to chat about their transfer experiences and catch up on school
news. The staff really look forward to the evening and love chatting to the girls
about old times. The ‘old’ girls find this evening an important part of saying
goodbye to the school. They come back and see all the familiar faces and places
but within the knowledge that they are happy and enjoying the next stage of
their academic career. The general opinion by the girls and their parents is
that we, at St. Hilda’s, prepare the girls not only in Mathematics and English
but also in all the other subjects that are now very important in
their new school life. The girls do all make one comment - the St. Hilda’s
School lunches are the best and it is the thing they miss the most- surprising
but true!!!
